This illustration project with Swadhaar included building a comic style journey for a user persona - Sarita and her journey of financial inclusion through education. Based on the data received by the Swadhaar team, we sketched out a path of her training & growth, divinding it into 3 stages along with an introductory character background. You get a visual context of her life in the village, her obstacles such as lack of knowledge and access to infrastructure, her community and exposure, her aspirations and the role Swadhaar plays in helping her achieve them. Using a detailed hand-drawn style, the bigger narrative is pieced together with mini-scenes containing dialogues, a range of expressions and gestures. These will be featured across digital and print collaterals of Swadhaar to showcase the impact of these initiatives which empower countless women in India.
